There was a time in my life when that title would have meant a lot to me and others. Now however, it's beginning to get frustrating. My son and I hit Lewiseville this morning amd managed to catch about 70 fish in 3 hours. Unfortunately, we only had 2 legal fish. We had a good time doing so. All fish caught on Texas Toast and Cajun Cricket jigs. Fish are staked on Brush in about 20' of water at about 12-15'.
Can't wait till end of summer and these fish grow a few inches. Mr. 11" has a much better ring to it

There are plenty of bigger fish to be caught on LL now. Vertical structure is your friend. I had 17 keepers with several 12-14 inch fish on Wednesday from my tube in 3.5 hours. Bridges and timber are holding the nicer fish.

I had success with using baits that have a larger profile. More legs, skirted, appendages etc. Still there are a huge numbers of little fish

The 2 keepers we had both came on a Joker. Between wind and wake boats, I have stayed away from the vertical structure lately. Sounds like I may need to reassess that. Thanks guys.

Guy and I also fished Lewisville Sat. Morning. We caught 105 fish in 4 hours with 21 keepers. About half of the fish came off rocks and the rest from brushpiles. I think we could have done better if the wind would have allowed us to fish in the open water.

Sunday (today) similar action but only 12 big fish. Quit at 10:30, too much wind and wake boarders.

Use your electronics to find submerged trees. Big fish hanging about 15' down in tree tops. Need calmer water for this.

Big profile baits fished very still produced well.
