Does anybody here have any luck night fishing for crappie with lights on Grapevine? We used to enjoy night fishing on Alan Henry when I lived in Lubbock and with the hot days of summer coming pretty soon it sounds like a good idea. I've never crappie fished Grapevine so I don't know how the crappie bite is (I wouldn't mind some help there too!) but just curious how well people do at night. Thanks!

I wish you the very best of luck with this! I hope to be doing the same thing real soon. That was the way I was taught to fish for crappie, at night time using minnows on Lake Tyler. I would think you would use the same techniques on Grapevine as you did on Alan Henry.

Search 5630 IP68 300led strip,it was told to me that they are the biggest and most output out there. I hooked 10meters up in parallel and the light gage wire couldn't handle it,got dim. So ran juice from both ends to feed power,it helped. My suggestion is to just buy 5050's ip67-68 and be happy. I had them before and no problems, really bright. You want most leds per meter,

Mine are 5630 5m strips 16.4ft one for each side of boat both run off single 12v battery. Got a remote control to dim 3 different brightness and lots of different modes. Looks like a disco on the water lol

I use the ones that you drop in the water but those look really cool. I'll have to check them out

i cant tell the crappie will be stacked up but i can say if you fish the marinas with light out facing water. you should be able to get a head start. iv fished the vine for years. in summer i always fished at night. go to scotts landing an put a light in water by light.key is any wherethier is a dock light facing water should have a cycle of life. microscopic bugs, minnows then fish. i always catch sandbass an crappie. days it be good an sometimes only a few keepers.
