I was fishing today out of Pond Creek at RR. Can anyone tell me what those three posts in the water across the cove are for?
Just curious....

To mark hazard area, it's uncleared beyond the poles.

After more thought to the above answer, the posts must have been siting this area coming from the main lake into the cove. Interesting since there is pretty good depth there.

Fish on the inside of the post for crappie. For every tree you see above the water, there are at least 5 more submerged trees that you don't see.. Many of them hold crappie. Outside the post toward the main lake is cleared of trees.

If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life,
there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

I've rode around in there a few times scanning the structure. Nothing jumped out at me to make me want to stop and fish or to go back to scan more. Pecan Creek has 1000x more potential.
