Just wanted to remind everyone we will be having a Crappie Anglers of Texas meeting tomorrow night at the Carrollton Public Library on Josey Lane. The meeting starts at 7pm but people generally start making up stories around 6pm.

You don't have to be a member to attend. Hope to see you there!

The Board canceled it as Grapevine was "flooded and the bite was way off"....

The attendance was minimal but the information given was priceless. That meeting was one of the most informative meetings I've been to. Always something to be learned at a CAT meeting that helps me boat more fish. Thanks all for sharing!

It was also cancelled last year. Can this be rescheduled? A lot of us were looking forward to this and it's cancelled again 2 years in a row.

We've had flooding two years in a row too... Not much we can do about that. I think we generally shoot for September because fishing is slow and it's a good time to teach before the fall bite gets going.

You're right Tommy, last night's meeting turned into a whole lot more than what I expected it to be. Although the attendance was light, there was a ton of tips and techniques given that are time sensitive and very relative to the lakes surrounding the DFW area. I was glad that I made it to this meeting.

I just looked at water data for Texas and it's 100 percent full. No flooding there.

You are correct sir, but when we held the vote a couple weeks ago, the lake was still flooded and the bite was terrible. We took into consideration the odd late summer rain patterns we've had lately, did the best we could to predict the future, and had to make a decision.
