We hit the water about 8:15; you know DW ain't no early bird. Conditions were decent with a NE wind and nice temps. Water was 78 degrees. We hit some of DW's trees and BPs and there seemed to be at least one fish at every one. Caught fish in 8-23 FOW on timber and BPs. Typical pattern for May with fish holding about 8 ft deep early and moving deeper as the sun got higher. Had 32 in the box when we quit at 1:15. Nothing big, just good eaters and threw back at least 40 dinks. I was using a black emerald shiner and a hand tied minnow imitation and DW was using a black/chart and white/chart thump buddy.
