I am taking my 5 boys (14 years old down to 3 years old) to Alan Henry tomorrow and would like for them to catch some crappie. We are planning on trying our luck on the lake with a green light on Thursday night then we will try our luck during the day on Friday. If anyone has some advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you

You might try around the island up Little Grape or in the trees past the no wake zone in Big Grape with the light. I haven't fished either in a while, but those would be pretty good bets at night. I would work some of the shallow water along the south side of Big Grape or up the creek near the bridge in Gobbler in the day.

Never actually crappie fished Henry before but have caught some monsters while bass fishing. There's so much cover you never know where to start. I agree, there's some big cotton woods right past the no wake zone in the creek channel of Big Grape. It's pretty deep right there but have always seen boats tied up and drowning minnows. Best of luck!
