My sister just gave me some land in Athens. It is just a couple of streets from the lake. Just need to know if there is any good crappie fishing in that lake. i know they have bass. All answers are appreciated. Thank you in advance.

where are these crappie you speak of? Brush piles, boat docks or weeds? I've only bass fished there a couple of times, never really thought about crappie there

Bass fishing is excellent and crappie are hit or miss. Lake gets a lot of pressure now from bass fishing. If I were you, sink some brush.

If I were only a couple of streets away I would find "some" crappie. Good luck. Get on the water and fish

I am taking a trip out there this Saturday to look at the lot. I guess I will do some bank fishing for that day if they are only 6' feet. Minnows or jigs? Thank you for that great tip. thumb
