We are planning a family vacation here the first week of june. I have never fished this lake. Typically how is the fishing this time of year. We will be targeting crappie.

Fishing is great that time of year. Hit lighted boat docks at night on McCartney island with jigs and minnows. You will go through a lot of whites and small crappie to find keepers- though the lake is getting better about size.

I'll be there this weekend to try it out again. Last weekend was slow with strong winds, and cooler temps. McCartney island has always been good to me as well! June should be pretty good also. I'll give reports over the weekend.
