I got out for a few hours this morning. The water still looks brown, but is more clear than it was last week, at least where I was. Water temp was 56 degrees, one degree cooler than last trip. It was pretty chilly early, but warmed up quickly. The south wind was starting to get up when I left, but was light all morning.

I caught 10 keepers, 5 were really nice fish. I cleaned 3 and released the rest. They were caught 13 to 14 feet deep, in 14 to 20 feet of water. Most were on concrete. I was using a two jig rig, a 1/8 oz jig with a plastic shad under a 1/32 oz jig with a smaller plastic shad. All were caught on purple/chartreuse baits. Most went for the bigger jig.

Just like the last couple of trips, I never found a concentration of fish. It was a fish here and there, but I always call 10 keepers a good day.

Nice looking fishing Bud. Tip your hat up a bit and you won't have that dark shadow on your face...or maybe your going for the hiding in the shadows look.
