According to the weather man it's suppose to get below freezing this weekend. I know that there was a post around last year about raising or lowing your motor. I just can't remember which.. Need your help... Thanks guys...

Lower as far as possible, and let it drain all the way. Any water left could cause a problem.
There is a thread on the green trash section today. They thought you were supposed to wrap it!

Technically, if you're following the law, the motor would have been drained at the ramp of last use. I drain the motor at the ramp but I'm aware not all water gets drained at that time. So today, in preparation for the freeze, I lowered the motor again for draining and sure enough more water came out. I think it takes some time for the water to work itself down the motor innards causing the standing water. Anyway, this is the precaution I take.

Trim the motor all the way down when you get home for about 10 minutes to let it finish draining and if the boat sets out in the weather, keep it trimmed down so the rain won't collect inside the prop. Also drain the livewell so the livewell pump doesn't have any water left in it to freeze and pull the plug to drain any water that might be in the bilge pump.

You are right about that. The colder it gets, the hungrier they get and go hunting for food. My problem is, I have a boat but don't really like going out by myself.

Well the best way to protect a motor from freezing is to keep it in the lake. Hint Hint..
