For the last 3 days I have been tearing up the Crappie on the little (1.25") Slab Bandit at the boat slip. Texas toast or any other color works. Caught 44 in 1.5 hours early today. Had 9 keepers. All caught at "The Office".

I use a 1/8 oz head with a #8 hook. Rarely get hung and it will hold the fish.
Don't believe me ask Fishbonz or Mike.

Ernest, I didn't know they made them in 1 1/4". All I have are 1 3/4". did you modify yours?

Skip sells them in all 3 sizes on his website!

The 1 3/4" size in River Cane has been working pretty good for me the last two weeks, 12' to 18' deep in some pretty stained water!

Look at the Lil Rascals; http://stores.crazyanglertackle.com/lil-rascals/

Some good colors to choose from. Several shad colors and electric lime and pearl truse uv work for me. These work well also during those hot summer months when the shad hatch is small.

+1 on Little Rascals. Black Shad on pink 1/16 with #6 sickle has been some fun!

Yes I can testify that this setup is a killer.. That is a modified Jig and really keeps you from getting hung up in the brush. I tested one that Ernest gave me and used it for two days without any problems.

It's time to "Set The Hook"!!!!!!

I have used the small baits in the winter time for years, they do a lot better than the big jigs' For the odd ball hooks and weights and small jigs the best place to get them one place is Chuck and Deb's. Their web site is one of the biggest there is so don't be fooled by their name. Also they have a top service department and get the orders out the same day.
This site is one of those that is a close out place for most of the big company's so check back on them in Jan. as after winter sets in they fill the warehouse's fast and have to start moving stuff out.
