Ray Bob is doing alright, found a few here and there on some brush piles, but the timber was the ticket. Got my limit by 11 and was on my way to work (where im currently writing this). 20FOW seemed to bring the best bites. all minows today

So I'm fairly new to this and I 99% of the time sit my butt above brush piles on Ray Roberts but when you say timber does that just basically intale cruising up to a submerged tree and drop shotting a minnow down around it till you find a tree holding fish? I see a lot of my friends catching a lot more crappie on Ray Roberts constantly but the only advice they give me is the fish are in the lake generally accompanied with an evil smile.

Yes, it is basically going to a tree and dropping minnows down. once you start finding fish in the trees than take note of what that tree looks like, the area it sits in, ect, then you can cruise around and find trees similar to it and tear em up
