A co-worker,who is a Sgt w/the dept,and I took up Cody on one of his specials.This was the Sgts first time crappie fishing,and caught on pretty quick.Got my second taste of timber fishing and did a lot better this time.Lost some good fish but also brought in some nice slabs w/shoulders.Seems the magic depth was 14' and we were using minnows.Cody will be forthcoming w/a pic.

I had a blast with you guys! Thanks for coming out. We really had some big crappie today. They seem to consistently be healthier fish this year! 12-16 ft seems to be the depth to fish. Gotta have those minnows though! Hope we get to do it again! Here's a pic from today!

Katchin krappie...doin surgeries(filleting)...and givin hott grease baths until krunchy and golden brown is what it's all about!!!
