Let just say I wanted to rent a slip on Lewisville. Anybody got any first hand knowledge with regards to how to go about it? Do they rent slips, for just baiting and fishing? I am pretty sure they do, but this would be a first for me. HAve a couple of guys from work that are interested in doing it with me. Any info would be appreciated. You can put it here or PM me.

Thanks,

My daughter and son-in-law keep a boat out there: Pier 121 Marina.

Anyway, we were out there July 4th and it was recommended that I fish down one of the piers and when I got there, met a couple who said the slip next to them, maybe a couple of them actually, were rented by some older fishermen who shared it. No boat, they just used it to fish right there in the early AM and evenings.

Expensive, but, it is being done at least in this one circumstance.

Brad

I know it is being done in more than one circumstance. I wonder if they rented it with that as the reason and did the marina sign off on it? I know I could call them, but I don't want to do that until I know the right approach.

Pier 121 will be redoing most of the dock the fisherman are on come september/october and the rent will be going through the roof with limited cards provided. This is coming from the slips I am on already....in short we will not be renting when this lease is up.

Hi Mike,

I have had a couple of slips at 121 Marina for many years. Fishing is sometimes great but lately sucks. I keep a boat in one slip and use the other just for fishing. Several members share the costs.

The marina may be changing the rules on us soon so be aware of that posability. Call me if you need more info.
