Got on the water right after first light this morning and could not get a bite until 10:45 and then it was like "OK, send down the jigs, we're hungry now". Managed to put a dozen in the live well along with some ditch pickles before the weather started to look threatening. Gave the bass and some crappie to some bank fishers and man were they tickled. Largest today was 13 inches but skinny as a rail. Orange with chartreuse tail was the color today and a bass ran off with my last one.

This time of year, I don't rush to get on the water early. I want the sun up so they will seek shelter for their eyes.
