 Opps, we did it again !!!

I went back to fish the creek yesterday with my buddy, Wienie Meat. I didn't get to his house till approx 10:30 We hooked up to his jon-boat & headed to get some minnows, which is 10 miles past where we put in. After getting our live bait (which was a waste of time, money & gas) we headed to the ramp. About half-way to the ramp, Wienie let's out a curse & said he forgot to grab the seats & put them in the boat. Wouldn't have been such a big deal, but the life jackets are stapped to the backs of the seats    After another 45 minutes were at the ramp & on our way to the hole that as been producing for us. NADA we relocated all around the area & nothing but a few shortys.  We motored further up creek to the next hole. I threaded on Lane's Thump Buddy, Double Jeopardy was the color & it was game on again  We caught our 1st keeper a little after 2pm & at 4:09 we laid our rods down, having decided that we had enough to clean  Ended up with 28 black beauties, no record breakers, but a real nice mess of fish. Approx 2/3's were females & they were attempting to spawn in the box - actually had eggs coming out of them. I hope to get back mid-week & am going to break out the ol' cork & jig

Let us know how you do with that jig and bobber. That is absolutely one of my most favorite ways to catch them!

Just got off the phone with a buddy I used to work with. Gonna go back Thursday & see if the ol' jig & cork action is happening.
Thanks for the replies guys. It was an AWESOME short trip. That's what I love about fishing in the creek this time of year, wind is usually not an issue & when you find them & figure out what they want, you can put up a bunch in a hurry!
