Just a few minutes from there and curious if you are allowed to wade, specifically Loyd Park.

I don't know why you couldn't. Loyd park has a swimming area I believe. I've seen guys wading by the state park. The bottom of most of JP is pretty murky though, so you might have trouble getting back out. smile

Fish ON!

Is it Loyd or Webb park that Walnut Creek runs into? Just looking for some shallow stuff to bust out the Red Ball waders and wet a line. Time killer and fish are a bonus.

Yes there are places at the mouths of creeks. There are huge flats out there and the fish are on em. Tomorrow will be easy pickens but, after that it will be tough.

The area around Britton park is where I would start. There is a big cove on the north side of the park. I remember when the lake was low that it was pretty shallow right in there. The channel runs out in the middle of the lake there. Right around shore you should be fine and should find a few fish aroung the flooded grass.

Loyd park has a lot of mud on the bottom, so be careful.

I'd agree with Anthony about starting with Britton.
