Headed to Rockport with the wife and kids next week. Looking for things to do/see, best restaurants, best bank fishing spots, etc.

Check out Shempys Grill off business 35 south of rockport..there is also the aquarium, maritime museum, the Big Oak near Goose island State park, or you could also run to corpus to see Lady Lex or the Texas State Aquarium. Maybe volunteer some time to help with the hurricane recovery...

Paradise key is back open. Kinda fun eating on the deck and watching the boats at the launch. Pretty good, reasonably priced food. If you go over to Corpus, eat or grab a beer at the Republic of Texas bar/restaurant at the top of the Omni. Great views and excellent food!

The kids may enjoy The Boiling Pot if they've never had a bunch of shrimp, sausage, crabs, taters and corn dumped out on the table in front of them to eat.

Paradise key is excellent food and great service, dozen oysters on the half shell and grilled snapper, wife had shrimp scampi that was great
