We just experienced a terrific new burger place in Burleson. It's called "Best Burger Barn". It's located where the old Gambino's Pizza place used to be at 856 E. Renfro St. ~~ 817-426-4622.

Great menu, great service, great environment. Oh, and be sure to ask about their "Possum Pecker Pie".

They also have another location in Egan, Texas.

Might have to check it out,the Gambinos sucked!

The one in Egan is always packed...been there a few years now. I need to try it.

I can second that. We live around the corner from there and tried it for the first time the other day. I'll tell you what a juicy sloppy fall out of your hands burger beats a dry burger any ole day!

When the Best Burger Barn opened in Burleson, they had the best hamburgers and fries. The service was fantastic. We've enjoyed eating there a number of times. Even the Possum Pecker Pie was great.

We went there this week and what we experienced destroyed our faith in this place.

First, when they opened they said they would "never have alcohol". Now there is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Booze) sign.

Second, they had live music and it was very annoying; to the point that I waited outside for our "to go" order.

Third, the burger was of poorer quality that before. Even the way the burger was wrapped was different than in the past. The flavor was also not as good. Even the fries were "old" (not fresh and hot).

When I asked if they had the Possum Pecker Pie they replied "We've never had that here. It's at the other location." I went on to explain we've eaten it from there on several occasions.

We are so disappointed in this place now. I doubt we'll ever go back. Perhaps it's under new management. Whatever happened, we have wish it would return to its former "glory".
