Im going to be buying all new stuff, irons, woods maybe a driver or hybrid. For selection Ill probably be making the trek to Dallas for Golf Galaxy and the PGA Superstore, all we have in Tyler is an Edwin Watts. Have any of yall been to the superstore? Ive heard the selection isnt as great as one would think.

I bought my last set of irons there 4 years ago at the store in Plano. I thought they had a great selection and pricing was good.

IMO the best place to buy clubs is Lou's Golf - Carrollton. You can trade in your used clubs, too. Great, small family business. I've saved a ton of money over the years buying one or two year old clubs at half the price of new, or cheaper. GL and hit em' straight!

The best way for me is to go to pga superstore and get club fitted, tell them the price range that fits your budget. After they run your swing on the monitor they will show you clubs that fit your style of swing. I would then call around to the local used golf club stores and see if they have those clubs that the pga store recommended. You then have choices to make instead of pulling some clubs off the shelf and hoping for the best, golf is hard enough to play even with the correct clubs, extremely frustrating if your playing with wrong clubs. I have about 5 sets that I keep at family members homes across the country so I dont have to ship them. All of them are used clubs, to me once it is hit once it is now a used club. Dont be scared to haggle with used clubs, you cant do that with new. Good luck!

The swing analysis would be pretty sweet, right now I shoot in the 80s- 90s with a set of irons I bought cheap off the wall at golf galaxy years ago. So being fitted would benefit I think, thanks again for the responses guys.

David Toms Academy in Shreveport. Went back in May and got fitted by Shaun Webb. I like my M3 TM Driver very easy to hit.
