I grew up in SE Houston way back in the day. Once in a while I got to venture into Downtown Houston...Only passing through!! It was only in downtown that I got to see the Police riding around on those TAMALE WAGONS. I left for the Marines in early 66' and I can remember them being around in 64'. If you lived in or adjacent to Houston back then, can you tell me when these vehicles were eventually phased out of the PD? If you have pics of these 3 wheelers, please post.
