Now that the two kids have grown up, it's time my wife and I spend a little more time together in the RV. She's not much of a fishing fan, but doesn't ever stop me from me bringing my kayak to the lake to do a little fishing. Last weekend, we loaded up the RV once again and made our way to Yegua Park at Lake Somerville. The heat was definitely on, and with the devastating floods at Somerville, the shade was definitely difficult to be found. Many trees have been cut down around several water front sites in Yegua Park. Rocky Creek park was completely devastated as well..... We made the best of the trip, and enjoyed the sunrise and sunsets. I certainly did a little kayaking and fishing, but it was somewhat difficult to fish with the amount of speed boats and jet ski's that were enjoying the water as well. Most of the time was spent sitting under the umbrella in the water letting the wake crash cover us with cooler water. I did manage to land a nice 3 ld bass, although it was quite skinny. We will return to the park again, and hopefully make more trips out to different lakes around the state.

Great pictures! cheers

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.
