Has anyone done this from a kayak to get out to some wadefishing spots around seadrift/Port O'Conner areas? Any info on put in spots would be appreciated.

Actually did that this week! We paddled out to Matagorda Island, camped at the old state park and kayak and wade fished the area between the state park and Pringle Lake. Caught a few but not a whole lot. We had better luck when we were paddling back finding tailing reds on shallow flats on the wind protected side of some of the islands.
