OK where is the best place to put a kayak into this creek. I have looked at maps, can see both creek & upper end of lake grapevine. I know this area is heavily fished. Just looking for winter time places to fish. Thanks

trophy club park boat ramp is the easiest - they changed their rules this year so that anyone launching from the boat ramp has to pay a small fee <$5 (if i remember correctly). you can put in knob hills bike trail (parking area) but will have to portage/walk your kayak a ways to get to the water (and launch will be messy).

I plan to hit it up Wed. afternoon/evening to see if fish have moved in yet from the lake. In prep to possibly take my cousin there for some Yak fishing Saturday morning.

I agree with Trophy Club Park. It's $5 to launch there and I do very well in that area in both directions with the crappie in the spring. I would recommend being courteous and not parking your vehicle in the boat ramp spots because there have been many times I have seen people having to park their trucks with boat trailers up the road in the grass because there are a bunch of kayaker vehicles blocking all of the trailer spots.
