Got off to a late start this morning, thanks to my teenage son, but managed to make it to Nails creek boat ramp at 7:45 Pm with a nursing colleague of mine who doesn't get out too much. Offered to hit Nails Creek, but he insisted that we go to Yegua, since getting out fishing is tough for him. So off we went across the lake to the Wolf pond area and beyond. For those in boats, there is a dead end about 3/4 of a mile from Wolf Pond. A narrow channel for yaks. One of the large trees came down and blocked the creek. The LMB were on fire around the Wolf Pond area. Yaked further down past the downed tree, and found a mess load of crappie. It was a warm afternoon, and I can definitely say, that I'm looking forward to the up and coming cool front next week. The addiction is real, and I'll probably be out there again very soon!

Looks like a good time! I need to get over that way and fish Yegua and Nails in my Yak at some point. Wish I would have known about those two areas when I was still a student at A&M. Granted, my grades would have suffered, but priorities are priorities smile
