I fished below pk yesterday morning from sun up till about noon and never could catch a fish over 12" but I caught a ton of em! Caught em every other cast between about 7:30 and 8:30, but no big fish. Anyone been catching bigger fish down there recently?

Been catching a ton of sandbass. The stripers are there. I think you need some live bait. Did you go up to the dam or down river from the bridge. Headed there tomorrow.

I went all the way up river to the dam, I fished a live bluegill I caught under a bobber for about an hour with no luck on that either. All those sandbass I caught in the pool right below the dam in front of the rapid. Almost all of them came on a rattle trap or med diving crankbait grinding along the bottom

You are not likely to hook up with a large fish in the middle of all those sand bass. Large topwaters early early morning have been good. This one was on a white swim bait around noon in about 3 fow. I saw the group of fish when I paddled up and was able to practically sight cast to them. Pulled in two others a little smaller than this one.

Pencil popper and throw it as close to the dam as you can and the striper will eat it
