A friend called me and mentioned a post up in the Bass thread that some kayakers were out on Squaw Creek the other day, said they were hard to see and so forth.

I guess I am just curious if it was anyone here on the this forum.

I bank fish Squaw over the winter, have never seen a kayak out there.

I was there last Friday but no fog at all. I don't know who was there, I've never come across another kayaker while there. I fish there nearly ever other Friday during the winter. Its always a toss up on the courtesy I receive from the boat guys out there. Some will give me plenty of space and others will crowd right up by me and act like I'm in their way, or blast off to the next spot knowing they are too close. I have my reservations for next Friday as well so Ill be there weather permitting.

Michael, someone had mentioned some kayakers on the Bass forum, made a bigger deal out of it than I suppose it was. Anyway, I had just not ever seen a kayak out there. I spent most of last late spring and summer on Wheeler.

We bank fish Squaw a lot over the winter. I'd like to get out there on the north end of the lake back up in the creek or somewhere like that. It is a windy lake, wavy too, with all the boat traffic but there are areas that would be pretty good to kayak I am sure. What part of the lake do you fish out of your kayak?

Wheeler Branch, by the way, out to really light up when the bass start their spawn. Last year, I took a friend out in my Sportspal canoe and I caught them all the way around the lake perimeter. I'd guess March will be a good time to hit Wheeler again.

Brad
