So if you shoot somebody it's "I was in fear for my life" and when you capture a gator it's "I was in fear for the children." I think most people on the TFF know it's illegal to kill or capture gators without a special permit.

There were some recent reports of a small gator being spotted in the Guadalupe river so looks like those guys found it.
Gators are rare in the river because of human traffic and nobody has seen any large adult gators so someone may have released that one into the river.
There was one about the same size caught in Canyon lake a few years back but was released after photos taken.
A gator doesn't stand a chance in that river because people won't leave them alone.

I had no idea it was illegal to catch or kill a gator in Texas. Glad I ran across this.

I'd be worried about the kids and dogs. Screw the gator!
