I launched below the dam this morning around 6:30, fished right behind the damn to start and didn't have much success. I started fishing different structure on the way down and had some luck. Fished all the way down to Coons and back up. I caught 15 lmb and really only one decent 3lber. Had the most activity fishing a green/chartreuse sassy shad. Fished behind the dam a few minutes before packing up about 2. I struck out there again but another kayaker was fishing with live bait and hung a hawg, probably in the 7-8# range. Allowed his young son 5-6 yrs. old to reel him in.
