Nucanoe needs outriggers to provide more stability in rough water. I've tried them in the past and the boat is nice but a little tippy.

Are you speaking of the Frontier models or the Pursuit models? I haven't paddled the Pursuit yet but the Frontier is very possibly the most stable kayak I have ever been in. Paddles like a barge but I can walk one end to end... Hoping the Pursuit retains most of that stability while gaining some speed!

Having never paddled one, but looking at the specs it is comparable to the other high seat kayaks out there. It also looks to have a fairly flat bottom without a tunnel hull design which would also be not as stable. As you said, the NuCanoe Frontier is a barge, but this one looks to be built to gain more speed, so it would be a pretty big step down in stability from the Frontier in my opinion.
Just one more cast!

Not sure. I looked at Nucanoe about 4 years ago. Boat was nice but a little heavy for me to load with a bad back. It rocked and tipped easy, so I knew my wife would not like it. After I dumped her in Barton Springs one December in a canoe she's been leery of boat that flip easy. If the new ones are more stable that would be great.
