I have been landlocked due to work travel and having my 3 yr old grandson with us for past month. Spending time with grandson was worth being off the water. I will be on the water somewhere this sunday just trying to decide where? Any reports on area lakes and rivers would be appreciated.

Hawk, the wind is so low tomorrow and Saturday, too, that I am going out to Wheeler Branch in my fishing canoe tomorrow, then maybe again Saturday. Sunday is out for me but a great day on the weather forecast, just a bit windier.

If you haven't made the trip down to this Glen Rose lake, you are in for a treat. I was there Sunday and they are still bringing water in from the inlet fed from the Paluxy. They are going to top the lake off, get it ready for the hot summer months ahead. This action, and the recent rain, has the lake a bit less clear than usual . . . but it is still one of, if not the clearest lakes near D/FW.

There are several active kayakers out there, Brett is one I have seen on many occasions. Boats are troll-only so it makes for a heck of a kayaking/canoe lake.

And, it fishes well, too!

Brad

377 bridge was no good. But weather was nice for us. Marking plenty of fish between 10-30 feet of water but not a single bite. Water is very murky. We were throwing ratl traps, sassy shads, diving crank baits, flukes, and even trolling umbrella rigs. Since we were marking fish, we didn't even try to look for them in deeper waters. Who knows, maybe what we thought was fish on the finder was actually trash. LOL. Good luck tomorrow.
