After a couple of hours of fishing I lose feeling in my legs and feet. I have adjusted the seat every way I can think of and added a stadium cushion but just can seem to get comfortable. Anyone else have problems like this?

What kind of kayak are you fishing out of and what kind of seat does it have?
This type of cushion will probably help. Those stadium cushions aren't much better than sitting on nothing.
$30 or so is worth not having your legs fall asleep!

You need to decrease the angles in both your hips, and knees as much as possible. Keep you knees slightly bent to help circulation both ways though. Also loosen your belt a little around you hips and maybe lean the seat back more than normal. Maybe even loosen up your shoes a little as well. This will all help with circulation to your lower body. Stretching before hand goes a long way too for me.

Higher seats help a ton.

My legs are to busy peddling to fall asleep. I have collapsed after trying to get up after peddling for 11 hours straight in the gulf. I got up to give my girl a kiss and my legs just gave out. I was whooped.
Took a minute to get my legs back

Old.. stiff & sore after about 3 hours but getting out to stretch and/or bending/flexing my legs regularly helps. The butt is a different matter altogether wink

When I paddled kayaks that had a seat that was flat on the floor and my legs were straight out in front of me I had serious problems with my legs falling asleep. Now that I paddle yaks with the elevated lawn-chair type seats I don't experience those problems. A good seat makes all the difference in the world!

Add a cushion to get ur tush up a little. It will definately help. Older style yaks have u sittin lower for more stability. Elevated seats are more comfy for longer periods on wAter but on MOST yaks it make u less stable.

For me simply moving in my foot pegs helped with my knees bent fatigue wasn't a real issue.

The first time I took my yak out I had the problem with my legs falling asleep even with a cushion under me. I had my foot pegs adjusted to that I could barely touch them. I move them back a few notches so they touch no matter what now and keep my knees slightly bent. My last trip out was a little over 4 hours. Not once did my legs fall asleep. Now my butt was sore from sitting on it so long but that was it. Nothing a little stretching didn't work out.

I would suggest changing positions regularly. I'm constantly adjusting my seat back and foot stops so I'm not in one position for more than an hour. I've even found a way I can lay almost completely flat so I can take a nap. But I mostly catfish with bells so there's alot of downtime.

I just don't like my knees or hips to be at the same angle for long.

Thanks for all the input. Now that the water is warming up, I can sit sideways with my feet in the water and that helps. I also moved my foot pegs way in so I have more bend in the knees.
