I am looking to upgrade into a nicer kayak. I am currently in an ascend FS12T and want to upgrade to something with better storage and just a better finished kayak. I am looking to stay in the same size range from 11’-12’ and after having the raised chair I don’t think I could go back to a regular low seat. Most of my fishing is done on freshwater for mainly bass, crappie and white bass. I would like a kayak that is stable enough to easily stand and fish from. I am trying to stay around the $1200 range. My front runner at the moment is the FeelFree Lure 11.5 for the high low chair and stability factor. I will be out at ACK demo days to paddle and hopefully purchase the new one so I will paddle everything before I buy it.
My question is what other kayaks that fit my criteria and budget should I consider and why?

Wilderness Systems Ride 115 or Jackson Cruise 12 come to mind.

You can get the Ride115 for $1205, less than 12', and rated for 500#, minus 1/3. The hi/low seat changes with a flip without having to remove it and is nothing short of the cat's nads. The Jackson Coosa was also on my short list.

Just purchased the feel free moken 12.5 and I absolutely love it!! The lure has a much nicer seat so you should make out even better with that model

If your going to limit me to those 3 only id go with the ws ride 115.
Its a good yak. Many have them and keep them for good reason.

Demo days r nice because u can paddle them all and if your not sure paddle it again.
ACK should have a lot more to choose from than just those 3. demo man demo wink

I have the Feelfree Lure 11.5. When I was looking, the seat and the wheel in the back, plus the tracks all around the yak and the padded floor sold me on it.
I also got the rudder and unibar which put it to the next level.
I have been super pleased with it. Was out yesterday as a matter of fact on the Brazos in downtown Waco. Caught 16 fish in about 4 hours. I love just trolling while exploring as well.
To get the tracks all around, rudder, unibar, and wheels for the other yaks would have cost a whole lot more than what it did with the Lure. That and I think it has the best seat hands down.
