 Help! I lost my kayak

Hi! About two weeks ago on march 23 I decided to go with a couple of friends to kayak off highway 78 where the dam lets out. I got in first and within a couple of minutes the current pulled me in and I capsized. Thankfully my friends helped me out but unfortunely I lost my kayak. I checked back for it the next few days but by the time the waters had gone down enough to rescue it, someone took it. It's a children's size bright blue kayak (I'm a small girl!) with a pinecove sticker and sticker that says "y'all". I also had a Texas flag paddle I'd love to get back but I'm not sure if anyone has found that. If anyone has any information on this, I would love to hear!! I got this as a Christmas present and it was very sentimental and that was the first time I had used it. Thank y'all and god bless

I'm pretty sure it was this one. Thanks guys, I'm glad I am too! It was not a smart choice to go down there! Kayak  I know that image isn't very helpful, it's the only one I have 😭

You didn't really mention whether or not you were wearing a PFD. No preaching, just a gentle reminder that one should always wear a vest. Get one that is comfy so that you can always have it on. Glad that you are OK.

The area below the railroad bridge is very dangerous off 78. Current pulls you under. Someone died there 5 or 6 years ago. Glad your safe

It's sketchy below the dam for sure. I've done it a few times but got a little freaked out the last time. It's hard to paddle back when the whistle blows and a bunch of gates open. Glad you're ok.

On a different note... if I had a kayak paddle and a bunch of Whataburger in my truck I would be thinking it was gonna be a great day too!
