Dang. The invite made me feel sorry for myself cause I can't go but then seeing that familiar beautiful pic that I have seen a hundred times made it 1000X worse. One of these days ... one of these days.

tough question I did better yesterday than when I was there last week in numbers and biggest fish but overall it didn't feel like it. My expectations were a lot higher yesterday. Thought for sure I would get into several in the 4 to 7 lbs range yesterday... only one. The water temps last week were 80 degrees in many areas and the best bite was in the pads that were in the coolest waters (mid to low 70's). Yesterday some of those same waters were in the high 50's but I had to check them all to be sure it wasn't just the first places I fished that had cooled. The warm current on Monti can warm certain areas at times without affecting others depending on the winds.

I spent too much time yesterday shallow because that's where I wanted to catch them and that's where my eyes enjoy being the most. Yes its a sickness.
