I know the Gheenoe is not considered same class as a kayak but having lived in FL for a number of years it is popular down there in FL for fishing inshore and marshes. Been looking at the Gheenoe low tide 25 but like to get members who have owned one or considered owning one their opinions on the Gheenoe.

I think this is why kayaks have probably pushed about as far as they can in the motorized direction (and in price) because one can buy a Gheenoe, a small model, and actually run it with a small outboard and go much faster, much farther, and get into really skinny water, stand in it all day, etc.

It'd be a really good vessel for fishing here in Texas, more of a skiff or boat than kayak . . . but a great idea.

I personally own a Portabote in addition to my kayaks - same material as kayaks - a little more portable than a Geenoe since it folds up to surfboard size (at the cost of additional setup time). It represented the best way i could get someone who didn't want to kayak on the water with me.
