Ideas:: come up with any idea you got to get youth involved in Yak fishing let's roll with this... 1A.Get IKE involved in our sport in a big way
1.Get manufactures involved with a youth movement program
"Be willing to throw where others won't and you'll catch fish others dont"
"Never caught a fish with my lure out of the water"

Take a kid fishing tournament. Your partner must be <18 or something like that.

Get the local kayak shops to offer a discount to the student anglers for gear.

My son is 11. He doesnt like kayak fishing quite as much as me. I told him im sorry that his great great grandfather did for his great grandfather and his great grandfather did for grandfather and grandfather did for me, this was in our blood, part of our family history. He didnt have a choice. He would learn this as well as he learned english or math. I am thankfull my father made me learn. Most kids wont like to just sit in a kayak for hours on end so after a couple trips it looks less attractive to them. Make them to an extent. They too will be thankfull later in life. Another thing is kayak manufacturers dont make much for children. Rods, kayaks, paddles etc. We need to push for this to change. We take our 5 children all the time. The ages range from 6 to 15. My kayak (viking profish reload) offers a kid pod, it takes the place of the tackle pod that normally comes with the boat. We need more of these options. Also having several kayaks helps.
