Ive never fished a power plant lake in summer. Is the water too hot for fishing?

Sometimes it's the best fishing around. Find the cooler water and pow!

I fish a hot water lake year round. One of the best bass days I've had was on a July 4th and the water temp was about 97 degrees. Fish have to eat regardless of conditions. Go for it.

Go early in the morning and the water is cool. It heats up just like any other lake but more around the discharge areas which BTW are good in the mornings...lol
