Last Friday was a great day for kayak fishing. I caught over 20 and kept about 13 - evenly split between LMB and sandies.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! I used to walk in there (before I had a yak) from the neighborhood on the north side of the creek and catch some nice sandies on Mr. Twister's and Sassy Shads. Never caught any bass, though. Congrats!

I was fishing w/ white skirted spinner baits, curly tail grubs (white and chartreuse), and beetle spins (white and chartreuse). I even caught one LMB (about 5lbs) that had broken my line about an hour before. I was taking the hook out of her mouth and noticed another fishing line coming out. So I opened her mouth and looked down, and sure enough, there stuck in her throat was the beetle spin that I had lost earlier. I'm really surprised that she would try to eat again w/ that thing stuck in her gullet. I had her for dinner, so her suffering is over. And the beetle spin is back in my tackle box.
