So I recently rejoined the plastic navy and bought a new kayak. I've been thinking about filling a cooler full of tilapia and I'm having issues with figuring out if i'd have to pay to get on squaw creek and if I do then is fairfield the next closest lake with tilapia?

All the info I've found is that yes, you do have to pay to fish in a kayak on Squaw Creek. That is 30$ per boat(to include kayaks).

All things considered, its not a bad price to pay for all you can eat tilapia.

I've been considering tilapia hunting, but I find the drive to fairfield or squaw creek(and the admission fee) a bit much for me, considering I would certainly get skunked.

Not sure Fairfield has many since the fish kills a few years back, has anyone gone hunting them there since then?

There are people at Fairfield making a decent living netting and selling tilapia at the ramp. I've heard there's plenty thumb
