On a larger body of water how far will you travel (distance) on a typical day fishing? Please note if you are paddling or pedaling.

It's not uncommon for me to do 3 to 4 miles fishing all day on a big lake. Seems like it's usually a mile just to get to my first fishing spot from the launch. Then you have to come back. I paddle a Cuda 12.

3 to 4 miles seemed to be be my average as well when I used my old Pescador 12.

I seem to average about 5-7 miles a trip when I go to a lake. That's mainly because I like adventuring though.

I have a lot of 6 and 7 mile days in the marsh. Now that I have a Soloskiff I can access spots much greater distances from the launch. I'm not sure how much farther I will range, but I do know that I won't worry about the wind being too tough to paddle back against in the afternoon now. I think I'm really gonna like this boat.

I also use Google maps to see approximately how far I went. Just find your start point, right click, then click measure distance. At that point begin left clinking your trip route and it will add it all together.

Most I've done in a day was 12-13 on alan henry in my santa cruz raptor. I probably average 3-5 on a normal day

3-5 paddle unless I am on a river. Average on a river is 7-10 if I am fishing.

Paddle
River trips about 8-10 miles/day depending on the flow.
Lake/Bay trips about 4-6 miles (2-3 one way)
Offshore sometimes 10+, depends on the destination and activity

Roughly 8 1/2 miles if you did this route. Very easy to do in a pedal kayak.
