Upper butt hurts after about 2 hrs. in the seat, anyone figured out a solution? It is where the seat straps to the boat, may try a piece of a pool noodle or something.

There are some upgrade seats for it. Give Mariner Sails a call and they can steering in the right direction.

I just bought a bleacher seat from Academy (very similar to the turkey seat). It has rubber strips protecting the flat rails on the bottom of the seat. I haven't had a chance to test it yet but a quick check shows that it fits in the seat area. I'll try to remember to post my results once I get to try it out.

Upper butt hurts after about 2 hrs. in the seat, anyone figured out a solution? It is where the seat straps to the boat, may try a piece of a pool noodle or something. The best way to solve this problem is to buy the plasic molded boat seat at Academy. I think it is about 10 dollars when on sale and maybe18 when not. The molded seat removed the two seat posts in the canvas seat and gives a smooth place to sit. Also give a lot more support to the upper back with the highter ridged seat. kills two birds with one stone!!! Good Luck and let me know if you like the seat idea after using it. EDIT: I forgot to mention. YOu have to install the canvas seat in the yak and then place the plastic seat over the canvas seat... The canvas seat is what locks the seat in place so when you peddle the yak it won't slide backwards.... EDIT ENDED.
