Lets go. I am headed there now. All the weather looks to be heading east of the metro so I am headed west to Mineral Wells get my yakfish on. Get off the couch and join me there. I'm in a white older Grand Cherokee with Magpul and Old Town stickers on the back fishing a Predator 13 and waiting for the plastic armada to join me.

$7 entry fee at the gate so bring your yak, rods, and some cash and lets fish, ladies and gentlemen. If you are headed out and want to coordinate, my # is nineseven2six3two94nine0. Text me and let me know you are on the way.

Don't make me catch all the bass myself. Motivate people. See you on the water!

Just hit the lake, about to unload and launch. Cloudy and very light rain. Hope the fish are ready.

Between the intermittent rain and the water the same color as coffee with cream, was hard to find the pattern. Was on the water till 5:30 and came up skunk. I marked fish on the graph, but couldn't get them to bite. Oh well, a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work any time..

I was there the previous Sunday for first time scouting some camping spots and checking out the water. Looks like a nice lake to paddle, water was very stained but expected with all the rains. How is the water usually? Is the bite good?

You guys should try Mineral Wells again. Turn off the fish finder or leave it at home. Only use 15 yards of line and pitch every 3 feet of bank down the shore. You will catch plenty of fish. I like baby brush hawgs but they will also hit worms or craws.
