Has anyone attempted to launch a two man boat on this section of the river? I'm thinking about doing it. I have a 4hp motor I can use to get back

I have done this with a trolling motor on a 10 ft 2 man boat. Going down river wasnt too bad, but coming up was pretty rough. Couple of stretches where we had to drag the boat that was not fun.

How was it with the trolling motor? What kind of gear should I bring?

the trolling motor was really nice when we hit the larger deeper parts of the river. Being able to hold position to flip and pitch to cover and the boulders was nice. It was also nice coming back up stream in those same parts. Now it was a hindrance in the areas we had to drag because between the motor and the battery thats a decent amount of additional weight. And of course that weight did not allow us to float through as shallow water as it could have otherwise or as shallow as a kayak. We generally just stick with med/light action spinning tackle for the most part as we normally fish finesse worms, small jigs and inline spinners but i know people use all sorts of gear out there and are successful...just depends on what you are targeting.
