All are terribly low. Dan's pond out there is all but dry. Rhodes lake is looking pathetic as well.

Drove out today to get out of the house. Now I am depressed. Rhodes, the twin cottonwoods clear lake. Was planning on getting out in the next few weeks. Mow I may just do the rain dance instead.

Hey there Caleb, how's it going?

Bad news fellas...after checking on the bigger ponds out there I decided to look at the "medium" sized ones. For those of you who are familiar, Berkeley aka Berkley aka Beckley aka Bickley (however you want to call it) has fallen victim to the drought conditions. It is bone dry...for reference I walked from the gravel where you would park to the spillway (this is a straight shot across the middle of the pond), when I got to the spillway I checked the bottom of my sneakers. Not even a smudge of mud on them. Too dark to try and find any old lures and other stuff but I bet a lot is buried in that sediment. Could not get a good pic with the lowlight conditions. From past catches, I know that at least green sunfish, pumpkinseed, bluegill, small bass, mudcats, and channel cats once called it home.
Was too depressed to go check on how Hopewell pond was doing. I believe little cottonwood lake still has some water in it. Many of the hundreds of small ponds out there (micro-ponds) that I frequently fished have gone totally dry too.

Everybody seriously needs to be praying for lots of rain this year.

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working.

Weird how ponds and lakes work...Hopewell pond is actually fuller than it was a month ago. Still low but that seems to be the new normal these days. A little pond out on the Tadra Trail gravel roads (the road goes right across the dam, one pond is to your right and another to your left) is getting awfully low though. I know the larger of the two ponds has (had?) some good sized bass and redears in it.
Anyone check on Chicken or Windmill yet? I know Chicken lake is bad about getting low even in years of moderate rain. Hope those two are doing okay.
Rain, rain, come our way!

Went to Clear Lake today. Ridiculously low now. Just a big mud hole. Didn't even get a bite in 4 hours.
