I keep a SunDolphin/Pelican type 2-man boat on a private pond and want to pull it up out of the water and get it off the mud on the shore, or next to our small dock. Anyone ever built/used anything like this that works well? I thought about those floating jet-ski type docks, the kind you mount to your dock and crank up with the big steering wheel, or the railroad-type rail systems I see on some lakes, but I would prefer something simple (and much cheaper).
Just seeing if anyone had experience with this that could help out the next guy.
Thanks.

There are several brands of "floating" jet ski docks available. Basically its a series of little plastic floats.

The cheapest way to go might be a used boat trailer add an extra long tongue and modify it to fit your pond boat. If the trailer wheels tend to hang up, take them off and use a sled bottom for sliding in and out of the pond.
Hope this helps.
