I know I have seen a post with some nice crappie caught from this Lake. Is that still the case? What part of the lake? if you don't mind telling.

This time of year I think most guys follow the crappies up the creeks. Who follow the shad up the creeks.

There is lots of info on bachman if you search esp. the bank fishing section.

Bachman is weird. Most lakes including White Rock Lake--the crappie go up the creek
Bachman--they seem to not make it past the floating buoys behind Whataburger.
Think I remember a post from Rudy one time that said in all the years he's fished Bachman, he's only caught less than a handful in the creek.
My theory is that the upper Bachman creek is so clear, that the water temps are colder than the concrete and grass rich environment behind the Whataburger/bridges/culverts area.

I have always wanted to sink a few brushpiles in Bachman Lake.

I would have to respectfully disagree with you Make no mistake about it they will get in the creek below the Lemmon ave bridge! I have caught them right behind the High Rise apts next door to the Embassy suites standing on the concrete platform with the man hole cover & some laydowns!

I lost a big bass near the rock wall by the rowing club on a frog last year.

I mean a big old bass. On a frog.

My buddy told me it might be the only frog hit anyones had on Bachman. The way the fish hit it I am thinking he thought it was a mouse that fell of those rocks. I saw a few rats or mouses running along up there at night.
