It is 6’ long 4 ‘ wide and 1’ thick. I would guess it weight about 60 to 70 pounds, the material cost is less than 200 bucks plus a lot of time. This boat could be built lighter and cheaper, it just depends on what you wanted . The folding feature adds cost and weight, i am currently working on another design that should cut a little of the weight and cost.

Do you use a trolling motor or flippers or paddle or ........all of the above!

Would it be easy to register if you used a trolling motor?

I would think that you could use any or all of the above, I actually built a transom last night , I am also working on a design to shorten a trolling motor , and I am toying with the idea of making a right side steering stick or making foot controls to steer the motor so that my hands will be free for casting, I haven’t decided yet

in the past we have gotten sumular boats registered in VA, they are classified as a homemade boat and are titled as such,i think in all we have had about 4 homemade boats registered.

The folding feature is something that I done because I wanted to see if I could build a boat that could be transported on the racks of a ATV or in the bed of the UTV’s . I am currently working on 2 other non- folding boats that have a little simpler design but still protect the foam for being torn up on rocks and river bottoms, they should cheaper to build and lighter, they should have a cleaner more finished look, I plan to build these boats with transoms and battery racks ,
