Fishing is still pretty slow on Lake Fork, which is typical for this time of the year. The lake is over 2 feet low - and the fishing just isn't usually as good when the water is dropping. Fortunately, we've been able to catch some quality fish over the last several trips. So even though the action has been slower, I've been able to put together enough footage for some awesome videos.
I've been night fishing exclusively for the past few trips. Most of our fish have been 15 to 20 feet deep, which is very deep (in my opinion) for night fishing. Jigs have been by far our best bait, especially in the deeper water. But our last fish topping 8 pounds was on a giant 12 inch megaworm.
I plan to start day-fishing soon in preparation to take a handful of clients out to prepare for the Sealy bass tournament. So after about the 12th of September, I plan to focus on daytime fishing and tournament prep. If you are interested in a summer night trip, please get with me soon. Also, if you would like a prefish trip for the Sealy tournament, I have openings for a couple of more clients. I have 2 on the books (and one undecided). Four prefish clients is my max because I want my clients to get my best spots without competing with my other clients. If you prefish with me, you have the option to put your boat in my shed while we fish. Additionally, we can go in your boat if you prefer.
If you do plan to fish that tournament, be very careful! The lake is very dangerous. Many stumps are just under the surface - and so many trees have fallen down that it isn't easy to see where the stump fields start and end.

I probably won't get around to making another report until after the Sealy tournament. I plan to run around Lake Fork and take short video clips of many of the coves and post it on my youtube channel at www.youtube.com/lakeforkfishingguide
To see what the lake looks like, please subscribe to that channel and click the bell icon to get notified when I post.

For those who don't know me, I've been a fishing guide for 28 years now. My specialties are sight-fishing in spring, night-fishing in summer, fishing for numbers (and taking kids and amateurs) in Fall, and fishing power plant lakes in winter and early spring.

For the past couple of years, I've been devoting my time, money, and energy to making short HD videos of my clients and their catch. I am now regularly uploading (to Youtube and Facebook) my 1 to 2 minute "quick clip" videos of my clients (and hopefully you) catching fish.
I recently put together a playlist of kid videos. Currently, it only has 9 videos. But I have a lot of videos that I haven't included yet - and I hope to have many more in the future. See https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrEJJ9e-r06_OoAeNL3gFJh4EXW0b0if0

I recommend October/November for kids and amateurs (or anyone who wants action), but I guarantee fish any time of the year.

Good fishing and good luck. You can't catch them if you don't go.
