Launched at city ramp on the Sabine River this morning about 9:30 to take a break from post Harvey storm repairs at MIL house. Took a boat ride to Cow Bayou and had a great morning. The bass were hitting Zoom critter craws and finesse worms around stumps and shallow brush. Caught 10-12 bass in a little over 2 hours. Had 6 keepers including a nice 3+ pounder. Also caught several bream and a catfish in the same spot after rigging up for bream fishing. I was getting a lot of bites on my worm and thought it might be perch/bream. After 2 hours of fishing, I went for another boat ride and then headed to ramp.
Haven't been fishing in a while and it felt good to be on the water again. I'm planning to hit Rayburn or Toledo in the near future.....or might just stay on the Sabine.
